Showcase of past projects in UX design, digital marketing, app design, self-published books, and product design
UX DESIGN
Mobile app design
Opening problem statement for mobile app project in General Assembly UX Design class.
User flow: Omnigraffle
Working through the user flow logic before building low-fi prototypes.
working prototype
Worked through multiple low-fi and high-fi prototypes in Marvel, Sketch, and InVision, with user testing along each step.
DIGITAL MARKETING
Empathy Map
After conducting research and interviews, I created an empathy map that informed the creation of a target persona I used throughout this project with Udacity.
Target Persona
I created all digital marketing campaigns for the duration of the class on a single target persona.
FAcebook campaign
I conducted marketing campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, Google AdWords, and MailChimp. My project presentation included results and analysis of every campaign.
APP DESIGN
Game app for iOS
As a personal project, I created a very simple game app that someone of any age could play and that required no text cues. Inspiration came from the non-digital world.
Communications app
In my Communications role for McAuliffe International School, I worked with a local developer to organize information and manage alerts and content.
Lost Pet app
In my original app for my UX Design class, I created multiple prototypes of an app to help people find their lost pet. This iteration was a working prototype for the purpose of conducting usability testing.
BOOKS
Children's book
Working with a New York City based illustrator, I created and self-published a children's book that is available on Amazon. Illustrations were inspired by the legendary album art of Jim Flora.
collection of interviews
After conducting 50+ interviews with creative people about their work, I compiled 12 of them for my self-published book Field Trip. Starbucks expressed interest in exclusive rights to the corresponding digital/blog content.
2-page spread: field trip
Each interview covered the full arc of each design or business 'mentor', plus career advice for those who might want to travel a similar path. Interviews included: Liz Lambert, Rex Ray, Thom Filicia, and many more.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Ping Pong paddles
Working with an overseas manufacturer, I created a custom line of ping pong paddles as a personal creative project. Rallipop paddles were sold on Amazon.
Rallipop brand
I worked with a local graphic designer to create the Rallipop logo and package design. My goal was to create a fun, colorful brand with a nod to '70s pop flair. I'm a fan of mixing sensory elements – thus the 'flavor' and color mix.
Custom color and handle
I paid attention to every detail of this product, creating a stain design with a Scandinavian feel on the poplar handle and going with the purple enamel label on the handle to stand out from more serious ping pong brands.
